YOUR ROLE |

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist plays a key role in the day-to-day management of MAC's financial operations.

Working closely with the Finance, Sales, and Customer Service teams, this individual ensures accurate billing, effective management of customer accounts, and a professional experience for our partners across Canada and the United States.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |

  • Process daily invoicing;
  • Open new customer accounts, including reference verification and coordination of credit investigations;
  • Prepare and make bank deposits;
  • Record payments in the appropriate customer accounts;
  • Maintain customer account tracking files and records;
  • Manage, analyze, and issue credit notes;
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and perform collection activities;
  • Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes;
  • Prepare and distribute monthly sales reports to sales representatives;
  • Support or provide backup for the Accounting Technician responsible for accounts payable when required;
  • Perform weekly trips to the bank;
  • Carry out any other related duties required for the efficient operation of the Finance Department.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS |

  • AEC or DEC in Accounting;
  • Two to four years of experience in a similar role;
  • Strong proficiency with computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel;
  • Knowledge of Odoo software is considered an asset;
  • Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written.*

*English proficiency is required, as this individual will be the sole incumbent in this role and will regularly communicate with customers and partners across Canada and the United States.
